Stephanie Zepeda, PhD, LMFT-S
Dr. Stephanie Zepeda joined Xavier Academy in 2017 offering her neurofeedback services to students and families of Xavier after completing her dissertation work using neuromodualtory interventions for cancer pain at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She has loved getting to be a part of such a collaborative effort of doing neurofeedback at a school in conjunction with the staff and faculty to optimize student success.
In addition to her work at Xavier and her private practice, she is the program director at the Houston campus of the Our Lady of the Lake University's Family Therapy program. She is also on faculty at the Taos Institute and the Houston Galveston Institute. Her psychological interests include neurofeedback, clinical use of technology, collaborative practices, and expanding our knowledge frameworks using cultural humility. She is a recipient of the 2020 Gloyna Award for Technological Innovation from Our Lady of the Lake University, is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & Supervisor and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
Outside of her mental health work at Xavier and beyond, she and her daughter enjoy geocaching!
