Sarah Rosenblum

Director of College Counseling

Sarah Rosenblum is Xavier Educational Academy’s Director of College Counseling and educator and practitioner of positive psychology. Having graduated with her B.A. in English from Union College, Sarah earned her Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. Sarah worked in the admissions offices at Sarah Lawrence College, Marymount Manhattan College, and Rice University, during which time she combed through thousands of applications and traveled the country to recruit students.

As Xavier’s Director of College Counseling since 2006, Sarah guides students through their college application process, leveraging positive psychology to enable students to capitalize on their strengths, learn tools to build resilience, and cultivate their well-being. Additionally, Sarah teaches positive psychology elective courses, assists with staff’s professional development and works with partners to strategize the school’s marketing. The most fulfilling aspects of her service at Xavier are the close-knit community and witnessing students grow throughout their journey here. In her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring the Houston restaurant and museum scene, cooking, and spending time with her goldendoodle puppy.
